Breastmilk is best!

The American Academy of Pediatrics has identified breastfeeding as the ideal method of feeding and nurturing infants, and has recognized breastfeeding as primary in achieving optimal infant and child health, growth, and development. The Academy recommends that infants be exclusively breastfed for the first six months of life.

Research has shown that there is no better food than breastmilk for the baby's first year of life. Breastfeeding provides many health, nutritional, economical and emotional benefits to the mother and baby. There are also significant benefits to the community, workplace and the environment.

Breastmilk is superior nutrition!

Many of the important ingredients in breastmilk are not found in infant formulas. Breastmilk is very easily digested and changes daily to meet your baby's nutritional needs. It also helps in other ways. Breastfeeding creates a close emotional bond between you and your baby, it improves your baby's oral and facial development, and it lowers your risk of breast cancer, ovarian cancer and osteoporosis later in life.
